Freelance web developer / Swindon / Remote
Custom websites and web products, built directly with the developer.
I design and develop custom websites, Laravel applications and digital products for businesses in the UK and beyond. You work with me from the first scope decision through design, build, launch and the difficult details after it goes live.
Real products are stronger proof than a list of claims.
Questly, Watchmora and MatchTide are not concept pieces. They are live products I own, design and build—each with different users, data, workflows and production constraints.
01 / Mobile and web challenge product
Questly
A mobile and web challenge platform built around photo and video responses, proof-before-reveal participation and location-aware discovery.
Role
Product direction, interface design and full-stack development
Choose the outcome you need—not a template package.
A focused landing page and a data-heavy platform should not be sold through the same fixed package. Start with the job, then choose the right level of design and engineering.
The interface and the system behind it should feel like one product.
Good visual design is only useful when the states, data and operations underneath it remain understandable. I work across both layers so the hand-off between design and engineering does not become the product’s weak point.
Product direction
Problem framing, release boundaries and user journeys.
Interface design
Responsive layouts, interaction, accessibility and edge states.
Application engineering
Laravel architecture, APIs, authentication, search and data models.
Operations
Admin tools, queues, schedules, imports, monitoring and safe deployment.
How the work happens
A clear route from the first question to a dependable launch.
The process is structured enough to control risk without making you complete a giant specification before we speak.
01
Brief
Define the audience, business goal, current problem and constraints.
02
Scope
Choose what belongs in the first useful release and what should wait.
03
Design direction
Make the hierarchy, interaction and tone tangible before the build expands.
04
Build and testing
Develop in testable slices and check the paths that matter on real screens.
05
Launch and support
Release carefully, watch the live behaviour and continue where the product needs it.
Published pricing / Server-calculated
Build a realistic project estimate.
Choose the closest project type, then add scale, design and functionality. The calculator uses the current published pricing model and recalculates the final range on the server.
One direct relationship from first question to production.
I work independently across product structure, interface design and Laravel engineering. That means fewer hand-offs, faster decisions and clear responsibility when something is difficult.
